Dolly Prioritises European Move

Dolly Prioritises European Move
Posted: 9 July 2021

Bafana Bafana international Keagan Dolly has left French club Montpellier FC after the club decided not to extend his deal beyond this summer.

The 28-year-old is currently at home in Johannesburg after the season concluded last term and has prioritised a move back to Europe rather than returning to the DSTV Premiership.

Dolly, formally of Mamelodi Sundowns FC, has been linked with clubs in Belgium, France and the Netherlands, however, a concrete offer has not materialised yet.

The diminutive left-winger has also received plenty of offers on the local scene, with a source close to Dolly saying to us;

“Keagan has been home for almost three weeks now with his family after the French club decided not to extend his deal, which expired on the 30th of June.

“His dad is the one who normally helps him with these kind of decisions and they don’t want him to play in the PSL yet, so their waiting for offers from Europe first before entertaining any local teams. For him playing in the SA league is the last option for him,” concluded our source.

Dolly will be hoping to sign on the dotted line sooner rather than later as most clubs, both locally and internationally returned for pre-season earlier this week.
