Bafana Set To Jet Out To Accra
Posted: 12 November 2021
South Africa’s men’s national team Bafana Bafana are set to fly out of the country before lunchtime today for their last encounter of the 2022 World Cup Qualifier.
Bafana, who sit top of their group with thirteen (13) points from five (5) games after a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Zimbabwe last night, will finish off their campaign squaring off with Ghana on Sunday.
Hugo Broos’ lads are expected to check into their hotel in the capital city of Ghana, Accra, around 18:H15 this evening, followed by a light training session to relax their muscles.
Bafana need a draw at the least to qualify for the last round of the World Cup, while a slender defeat can still propel them to the final stages.
However, their Belgian gaffer, Broos, is adamant that his charges are going for a win in Ghana and has never favoured a defensive approach in his thirty (30) years plus of management.
The encounter will be live on the national broadcaster on Sunday, with all fixtures kicking off at 21:H00 to avoid any advantage to all the teams.
