Western Cape side Stellenbosch FC have declared that one of their key and promising talents is not for sale at any price.

Ashley Du Preez, who has continuously been linked with a move to Gauteng over the last couple of seasons, will not be sold, that is according to the club’s Chief Executive Officer, Rob Benadie, who exclusively said to The Beautiful Game;

“Firstly on Du Preez, he is one of our key assets to the way he plays, he is key to Steve’s philosophy and how we want to play the game so at this stage and for the foreseeable future, Ashley is a Stellenbosch Football Club player and we have him secured.

“So, unless my favourite club from overseas comes in for him, I don’t think he is going to go anywhere,” he concluded.

The 24-year-old forward has been one of the brightest stars for Stellies ever since the club was promoted to the top division two seasons ago.
