Reigning DSTV Premiership Champions Mamelodi Sundowns FC showed their class in the second half against TS Galaxy FC yesterday evening after dispatching three unanswered goals.

The Rockets, who are yet to gunner a victory this campaign, enjoyed a solid first half against The Brazilians but were eventually broken down. Galaxy’s Head Coach, Owen Da Gama tells The Beautiful Game that he made a tactical blunder, saying;

“The tactical blunder was we pushed (Mxolosi) Macuphu to the right, and we brought on Sthembiso as a striker and I think that was unfortunate because I think two of the goals came from there.

“But that is all part of the learning curve, we are disappointed and moving on to Sundowns, we needed to hold our nerve. If we played the way we played in the first half, I think we would have seen something else but as I said, it’s a blunder from me and I take full responsibility. We’ll keep working hard and we’ll keep trying to turn the corner,” said Da Gama.

The Rubber Doll will have to minimise his club’s mistakes as they travel to Durban to face a rejuvenated Royal AM side.
