Posted: 27 February 2021

Kaizer Chiefs will finally play controversial side Wydad Casablanca who denied entry to their opposition a fortnight ago, citing Corona Virus fears against Amakhosi.

One of the longest-serving players at the club, Itumeleng Khune, says their looking forward to the trip, which it’s been rescheduled to take place tomorrow in a neutral venue in Burkina Faso, and the shot-stopper said of their encounter;

“I am looking forward to the trip to Burkina Faso against Wydad Casablanca in the CAF Champions League match, it’s a very tough match for us and we are looking forward to bringing three points back home. We’ve been preparing very well for this match, and we are going to give it our all.

“Everyone is ready, all the guys are looking forward to the match and we are going to work together as a team. It’s going to be a difficult match as it’s not our home game, but we are going to fight hard for the three points to ensure that we make the Amakhosi family happy and proud,” concluded Khune.

The Phefeni Glamour Boys opened up their 2021 CAF Champions League group stage match with a disappointing one-all draw against Horoya FC, and will be desperate for three points against continental powerhouses Wydad tomorrow.
