Napoli: You Can Have Him For £100m
Posted: 13 January 2021

English Premier League pair of Manchester United and Liverpool FC have been quoted a price tag of £100m for defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

The club’s owner Aurelio De Laurentiis has warned Manchester United and Liverpool that they should offer at least £100m if they want to sign Kalidou Koulibaly this month.

Liverpool are desperate for centre-back reinforcements after Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez suffered long-term injuries, and their interest in the 29-year-old Senegal defender has been known for some time.

De Laurentiis spoke to Sky Sports’ presenter Jim White, with Jim relaying the story to us;

“This morning, I spoke to Aurelio De Laurentiis, the Napoli owner, and said what about your player, are there bids in for him? He laughed it off saying he’s not for sale.

“It seems on this occasion Koulibaly is going nowhere. He stays and that was as recent as this morning. Anyone going in with anything other than £100million for Koulibaly can forget it.

“He’s absolutely not for sale unless one of the big clubs in England come up with £100million,” he concluded.

The trusted centre back has a contract in Naples until at least the summer of 2023, and it is up to the English sides to battle it out for him.
