Cech To Fly Out On Sunday
Posted: 24 July 2020

Chelsea Technical Advisor Petr Cech is set to fly out to Germany on Sunday after their last league game against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge.  The club legend has been tasked with signing German youngster Kai Havertz and will arrive in Leverkusen to open talks with the club on Sunday evening.

Havertz has long been linked with a move away from the club after enjoying a stunning season in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen. Cech has a job on his hands as the club are holding out for a £90m (R1.9b) fee, with Chelsea only offering £70m (R1.5b) for the 22-year-old.

However, with the player eager to join The Blues, a deal is likely to happen before the end of next week and will be able to join his mate Timo Werner, who joined Frank Lampard’s side last month.  We also understand that personal terms are not expected to be a problem with the player wanting to join the capital side this summer.
