Larsen Lauds New Signing!

Polokwane City Head Coach Clinton Larsen has given praise to one of their January new arrivals amid their injury concerns at the time. Rise and Shine, as City is affectionately known, took a chance on centre back Scelo Hlatshwayo, who arrived from Jomo Cosmos in the GladAfrica Championship.
Larsen spoke highly of the lanky defender, saying, “Scelo is a young defender that we brought in from Jomo Cosmos, I must say that he has never let the club down. Yes he has been found wanting once or twice in terms of his tactical awareness and positioning but he has done relatively well for his age”
The well-spoken Coach continued, “He is a player that will keep on growing with more game time and more experience and JA, that wasn’t the ideal situation to throw him in because he has never played in the PSL. However, we are very happy that he came through those games, his becoming more comfortable on the field at this level and I see a bright future for him”, concluded Larsen.
Hlatshwayo will be hoping to play more games when the PSL season resumes after a reassuring couple of performances he has had for his new employers.
