Mulenga: We Won’t Respect Them
Posted: 22 October 2021
South African DSTV Premiership side Amazulu FC travel to Kinchasa, Congo, to face giants TP Mazembe in the last qualifying round of the CAF Champions League before the group stages.
The club’s striker, Augustine Mulenga says their ready for the clash;
“I think if we can look back, Mazembe is a big club, with a big history on the African continent and on Saturday, I’m sure we will go there and fight. We will give them respect but inside the field we won’t give them respect.
“We want maximum points (a win), so that we can proceed to the group stages, and I’m sure the game isn’t going to be easy for us. The game is going to be hard but we just have to work extra hard from the start to the end.
“I’m sure the game we had on Tuesday (against TS Galaxy) gave us a boost because winning away from home is not easy, we showed character from the first whistle until the end, and I’m sure everyone who is here in Congo is looking to give his best so that we can win on Saturday,” concluded Mulenga.
Usuthu will be quietly confident ahead of the clash after not conceding at home and a goal away would be a massive boost for Benni McCarthy’s side with the away goal rule.
