The Beautiful Game’s European Corespondent Chris Wheatley can confirm that there has been breakthrough talks between Arsenal Football Club and skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Talks between the club’s directors and Aubameyang’s camp have reached an agreement for the player to commit his future to the club. A source close to Chris said;

“Yeah, there has been a common agreement between the two camps over the last 24 hours, we are expecting an announcement from the club before the end of this week or early next week. The player is happy with the progress of the club under (Arteta) Mikel,” he concluded.

We understand that the Gabon international will sign a new three-year-deal worth a £250 000 (R5.7m) per week that is carried with match-day bonuses in his contract.
