Pitso Humbled By Ferguson Comparison!

Mamelodi Sundowns Head Coach Pitso Mosimane recently extended his contract with African club giants Masandawana until the winter of June 2024. Dr. Patrice Motsepe, who is the club’s owner and President, showered his coach Jingles with comparisons of former Manchester United great Sir Alex Ferguson, with Mosimane somewhat humbled and saying;

“Ja, it’s always important to show respect and humanity when a personality and profile like the President of the club utters humbling and good words like that (Pauses)…You don’t take it for granted and you need to appreciate.

“I mean that accolade (being compared to Sir Alex Ferguson) is way, way bigger than me, I mean he (Sir Alex Ferguson) dominated the (English) Premier League for 20 years Karabo and I haven’t achieved 20% of what he has done, so I’m humbled, I’m humbled by the comparison,” concluded an emotional Mosimane.

Jingles is already the most longest serving head coach at a single club in South Africa and will mark eleven and a half years when his contract expires in June 2024, with the possibility of extending again still in sigh. Mosimane currently ratios two league titles every four years and a cup trophy every season.
