The biggest clash of football on the African continent will see ten-time CAF Champions League winners Al Ahly SC welcome rivals Mamelodi Sundowns FC at the Cairo International Stadium tonight.

Sundowns’ shotstopper and former African Goalkeeper of the Year, Denis Onyango says it will be an interesting encounter;

“It’s always a pleasure being in Egypt and of course at the highest stage of club football. And for us, it always gives us an opportunity to compete with the best teams.

“Of course, it’s the (two) biggest clubs playing each other on the continent tonight, and for us, it’s a massive game. We hope the game will be entertaining for everyone.

The Brazilians have failed to score in Egypt against The Red Devils in five games, but Onyango thinks that will change tonight;

“Of course it has been very difficult for us to score against Al Ahly SC in Cairo, but since it’s a New Year, we might have time on our side. We scored in Pretoria, you all know what the score was, but as the Coach said, it’s going to be a tough game and it will be won by margins,” concluded Onyango.

The much-anticipated clash will be live on the World of Champions at 21:H00 tonight and three points will be vital for both giants.
