Former Mamelodi Sundowns FC and current Al Ahly SC Head Coach Pitso John Jingles Mosimane has exclusively told The Beautiful Game of the dominance his ex club will have.

The outspoken and well-decorated gaffer told us;

“I jumped from Mamelodi Sundowns FC because I knew that the DSTV Premiership is sorted, let’s be honest and any Coach should be able to win the Premiership with the team I had huh.

“And remember I reinforced the team to make sure that the team wins the DSTV Premiership for the next four years and there’s no doubt, I believe they will win the league again this year.

“I’m looking at direct competition and say ‘maybe the personnel that’s being gathered now is not strong enough to win the DSTV Premiership’, so I believe Sundowns can win it. But probably…I don’t know, you must sign the right players, players who knows how to win things.

“At Sundowns I signed the right players; Wayne Arendse, Thabo Nthete – he was a captain at Bloem Celtic, Hlompo Kekana – captain, Rama (Ramahlwe Mphahlele) – captain, even Teko (Modise) was once the captain of Mamelodi Sundowns when I arrived, Denis Onyango, captain of Uganda, how many captain’s did I have with the team?

“It’s the dressing room, I always call it a ‘quiet dressing room’, so it’s very important for a team to win the league. So that’s why Baxter won the league, he had the Mathoho’s, he had Morgan (Gould), he had Tefu Mashamaite – top boys man – Yeye, Shabba – captains, you know Karabo? Serious, serious Captains man,” concluded Mosimane.

The Mogale City-born tactician has started the Egyptian Premier League in phenomenal fashion after dispatching rivals Zamalek CF 5-3 in the Cape Derby over the weekend, leaving the Red Devils on nine points from three outings and leading the table.
