Maduka: It’s NOT Easy

Maduka: It’s NOT Easy
Posted: 8 October 2021

The Beautiful Game recently sat down with Royal AM FC Head Coach John Maduka about the challenges he and his players faced when moving to KwaZulu Natal.

Royal, now using the status of legendary club Bloemfontein Celtic, have steadily started collecting points in recent weeks in the DSTV Premiership.

Maduka tells The Beautiful Game of the challenges, saying;

“Of course, there is always challenges when there is transition because mentally we were not ready for something like this and all of a sudden something happened (selling of Bloemfontein Celtic status).

“But the boys have been getting better and better. The Chairlady, the whole management, the CEO – they have tried their best to make sure that things get better. Psychologically they help so that we get better – it’s not easy, it’s not easy and I’m very thankful to the Chairlady and the entire management.

“They have been working very, very hard to make sure that the players focus on the games and it’s not easy whenever there is transition. But we are getting better and better because of the help of the management, we are happy to have the management that is behind us and giving is the support that everyone needs,” he concluded.

Royal are currently sitting third in top-division with twelve (12) points from six outings, averaging two points per game.
