South African football giants Kaizer Chiefs FC have experienced an indifferent season thus far after losing back-to-back games against Royal AM FC and Mamelodi Sundowns FC respectively.

Chiefs’ youngster, Nkosingiphile Nhlakanipho Ngcobo has not enjoyed much game-time in this campaign due to his involvement in the Olympic Games. However, the gifted playmaker says he is working hard at training;

“I am pushing in training and trying to play with the team, make sure that I help the team and understand the Coach, collect information and make sure that I show it on the field.

“I think as a team we are doing great, although there were a few losses but we are getting there. Well, coming in as a sub, there is always pressure because you need to affect the game and change the game. The few minutes I got, I don’t think I did bad but I can improve if I get fifteen (15) minutes or more, I can help the team to maybe get a goal.

When asked about preparations for the upcoming fixture with Marumo Gallants on Sunday in Polokwane, he said;

“The preparations are going very well, after the defeat (against Mamelodi Sundowns), everyone is on their toes, everyone is working and we realised that we need to up our game, we also need to send a message with the upcoming game,” concluded the starlet.

The 21-year-old will be desperate to influence matters on the pitch from the onset this coming weekend rather than from the bench.
