SAFA President Sends Message To Chiefs
Posted: 16 July 2021

South African Premier Soccer League side Kaizer Chiefs FC safely touched down in Casablanca, Morocco, yesterday morning after a nine-hour flight from the O.R Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.

Upon arrival, the South African Football Association (SAFA) President, Dr. Danny Jordan delivered a telling message to Chiefs’ coaching staff and players, saying;

“The country needs scenes that bring us together, solidarity and bring hope and these are the things that finals produce. Now whatever you do, a Coach will tell you; Management – if you want to succeed in business, management, if you want to succeed in football, management, if you want to win the final, management.

“You don’t get this opportunity everyday. You have generated so much expectations and hope around you, and now you cannot do what people expected from you in the beginning, they didn’t expect you here, but it’s about your commitment, your energy and your drive that bring success.

“You have come too far to turn back now. This is where you are, ninety (90) minutes away to write the most glorious history of Chiefs and in South African football,” he concluded.

The Black and Gold are set to do battle with Egyptian giants Al Ahly SC in the CAF Champions League Final tomorrow, with kick-off at 21:H00 South African time.
