Chiefs’ Zuma Looks Ahead To CCL Final
Posted: 13 July 2021
The build up to the most anticipated cup final in the history of Kaizer Chiefs FC is edging ever so-closer and the club’s midfielder Dumisani Zuma cuts a relaxed, composed figure here.
Zuma, formerly of Bloemfontein Celtic, takes us through their journey to this exciting CAF Champions League final this weekend against nine-time winners Al Ahly SC of Egypt, saying;
“Uhm…what I can say is that it’s been a good journey for all of us as a team. And I remember from the playoffs of the Champions League, there was no easy game, what also helped us is that most of the teams we played against, they undermined us.
“However, we, as Kaizer Chiefs FC and the staff, we knew what we were capable of and that motivated us a lot in all the games that we played. We gave 100% in all the games we played, even though results were sometimes not favourable, we always gave our best.
“I am very happy that we’ve reached the final of this competition, and to be honest, it hasn’t been easy, the pressure was sometimes too much. We were also not doing well in the league but we knew that this was the same time that almost won the league so we were good enough to achieve anything,” concluded the soft-spoken Zuma.
The Phefeni Glamour Boys have confirmed that they travel to Casablanca, Morocco, with a clean bill of health. We understand that club stars Khama Gaucho Billiat, Lebogang Manyama and assassin Samir Nurkovic have all travelled up north with the entire squad for this continental finale.
