Chiefs Want Marksman
Posted: 10 July 2021
Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs FC are back on the transfer market after confirming six new arrivals yesterday afternoon in the form of Njabulo Ngcobo, Sifiso Hlanti, Phathutshedzo Nange, Brandon Petersen, Kgaogelo Sekgota Sibusiso Mabiliso, and Given Thibedi, who returns to Naturena after two highly successful loan spells at Swallows FC.
However, The Beautiful Game can exclusively confirm that Amakhosi are not done yet in the market, with the club now in full search of a striker to ease the pressure off Serbian forward Samir Nurkovic.
The club had initially earmarked The Dube Birds’ striker, Ruzaigh Gamildien as their perfect choice, however, since the departure of Gavin Hunt, the top brass have decided against pursuing the former Chippa United frontman.
Chiefs have drawn a list of five strikers, with one of those being Victor Letsoalo, but with the Bloemfontein Celtic being hit a transfer ban, it will be extremely difficult for The Phefeni Glamour Boys to rope in the Siwelele’s number nine.
