Zwane: It’s About Love & Peace

South African football club Kaizer Chiefs FC booked themselves a date with Al Ahly SC in the final of the CAF Champions League after holding Wydad Casablanca to a goal-less draw yesterday evening, progressing 1-0 on aggregate.

The club’s interim Head Coach, Arthur ‘10111’ Zwane tells The Beautiful Game what has helped him change the fortunes at Naturena, saying;

“Look, as you know our slogan is ‘Love and Peace’, and that’s what we should always be practicing, you know, as coaches and as players. And uhm, ever since I’ve been here, it’s been twenty one (21) years, that’s what the team taught me; to love the players, to love myself, to love the supporters and to love everyone – that’s the only way you’ll be able to perform and to give your best.

“You are in the right frame of mind when you show love, if you don’t show love, then obviously you not going to love yourself first. So, that has been our strength you know, throughout all these years. It’s been tough, it’s never been easy for us because we believe if you love one another and be there for one another, and even when the chips are down, that’s what the team taught us,” concluded Zwane.

The Phefeni Glamour Boys will now face hot-shot favourites Al Ahly SC in a one-off final on the 17th of July in Casablanca, Morocco.
