We’ve been told that Chelsea manager Frank Lampard’s job is safe for now but could change if results are not forthcoming in the next couple of matches.
Sky Sports understand that The Blues have got no succession plan in place but have already made enquiries about availability of potential managers, should Lampard walk, of course.
Lampard’s side have been on a free-fall in recent weeks, and that was made worse by a 3-1 capitulation over the weekend in the hands of Manchester City.
We’ve been led to believe that club owner and billionaire Roman Ibrahimovic is an admirer of Ukraine manager Andriy Shevchenko and the recently-sacked Thomas Tuchel.
It remains to be seen if Lampard will be given ample time to turn the tables around, but insiders have told us that there are no panic buttons being pushed yet.
