Liverpool Plan Van Dijk Talks

Reigning English Premier League Champions Liverpool FC are in the process of opening contractual talks with centre back Virgil Van Dijk over his long-term future.
Van Dijk, 29, who recently had a successful surgery after a serious knee injury against neighbours and rivals Everton on the 17th of October, is expected to be out for the rest of the 2020/2021 season.
However, his club manager Jurgen Klopp is desperate to hold onto the towering defender for the foreseeable future. We understand the club are planning fresh terms until 2025, with his current deal expiring in June 2023.
The Dutch International has already won the European Champions League, the English Premier League, and the Club World Cup ever since arriving from Southampton a couple of years ago.
