- From Inter, Man City…To Serie B
Posted: 6 December 2020
Once the glaring darling of Italian football, the wonderkid who scored goals for absolute fun, has gone to the lower tier of Italian football…a proper fall from grace to grass story.
Former Azzurri striker, Mario Balotelli is close to signing for Italian Serie B side Monza AC after being released by Brescia recently, who suffered relegation.
Balotelli, who won three Serie A titles with Inter Milan, and also a Premier League title with Manchester City in the 2011/2012 season, was sacked for continuously skipping training sessions with Brescia.
There has been talks midweek that Brazilian giants Vasco Da Gama were interested in signing the 30-year-old, but that has not materialised and will instead begin his medical assessment with Monza AC tomorrow morning.
The club that is interested in signing Balotelli is owned by former AC Milan president and former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.
