World Football Mourns Diego Armando Maradona

World football came to a standstill yesterday after the passing of one of the greatest footballers of all time, Diego Armando Maradona, as he sadly departed Earth just before 18:H00 South African Time.
Maradona, widely regarded as the finest talent the world has ever seen, died at the age of sixty (60) due to cardiac arrest. Footballers across all spheres of life, current and past, paid tributes to the legend;
Lionel Messi : A very sad day for all Argentines and football. He leaves us but does not leave, because Diego is eternal, I take advantage to send condolences to all his family and friends, RIP.
Christiano Ronaldo : Today I bid farewell to a friend and the world also bids farewell to an eternal genius. One of the best ever, an unmatched genius.
David Beckham : A sad day for Argentina and a sad day for football as we celebrate the greatness this man gave us…someone who played with passion, spirit and nothing less than a genius.
The plaudits have literally arrived from everyone in football; Pele, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Boca Juniors, Michael Ballack, Gary Lineker, Michael Owen and the rest.
