Zinnbauer: Monare Close To Debut

Orlando Pirates Football Club’s head coach Josef Zinnbauer has explained new signing Thabang Monare is close to making his debut.
The former Bidvest Wits midfielder has yet to don the famous Pirates colours, with Zinnbauer explaining to The Beautiful Game that the midfield general is close to playing for the club, saying;
“Ja, I think he is ready for forty five minutes or so. Normally the plan was he comes in as a substitute today (last night) but we wanted to score and that’s why I brought in more offensive players.
“But we need him, he is a very good player; we have seen him at training sessions what he can do and I hope we can have quick work with him to have him ready.
“But at the moment he is ready for forty five minutes and if possible, have him play more minutes. But the plan before the game was to give him forty minutes but we couldn’t because we needed a result,” concluded the German.
The Sea Robbers next face their nemesis Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday in the MTN8 semifinals first leg, with Monare possibly set to make his debut in the Derby.
