Posted: 17 October 2020
Pitso Mosimane will lead his team, Al Ahly to the lion’s den later tonight out in Casablanca as they play against Wydad in the semifinal of the African Champions League.
Pitso led his former club Mamelodi Sundowns to the continental gong back in 2016, has been tasked with bringing the prestigious tournament to Ahly, with Pitso exclusively speaking to us and saying;
“Ja, it’s going to be difficult neh. We arrived here on Tuesday and started our preparations on Wednesday. But we have a lot of players missing remember, is not an excuse but we will go for it.
“We tried to prepare as best as we can neh, let’s see how far we can go, we will go for it before they come to us in six days akere,” concluded Jingles.
This will be a baptism of fire for the South African-born tactician, but he has been in such situations and will be hoping to keep the backdoor shut in the first leg.
