Ozil Displays Class
Posted: 6 October 2020
Former German midfielder Mesut Ozil has displayed class after offering to pay for the club’s mascot after he was made redundant due to the financial challenges the club faces.
However, the frog-eyed number ten tweeted that he will pay for the mascot’s salary as long as he remains an Arsenal player, saying;
“I was so sad that Jerry Quy aka our famous & loyal mascot @Gunnersaurus and integral part of our club was being made redundant after 27 years. As such, I’m offering to reimburse @Arsenal with the full salary of our big green guy as long as I will be an Arsenal player…” Concluded the tweet.
Ozil has not featured for The Gunners this season and has stressed time and again that he loves the club and is willing to stay and fight for his place under Mikel Arteta.
