EXCLUSIVE: Gabriel’s Arsenal Contract

The Beautiful Game’s Chris Wheatley has EXCLUSIVELY revealed the contractual agreement between Arsenal Football Club and new signing Gabriel Malgalhaes.

The 22-year-old central defender chose London over Naples, Paris and Merseyside after he joined Mikel Arteta’s side yesterday.

Chris Wheatley takes us through the contract between Arsenal, Lille and Gabriel, below are the key components of the contract;

• French side Lille will receive £18m upfront, and the rest of the £9m in installments over six months.
• Gabriel has signed a four-year-contract with a further 12 months extension
• The Gunners will pay the defender £65k per week, with matchday bonuses
• There is no release clause inserted in the contract of the player.

We also understand that Arteta and Edu are looking to add at least two more players in the squad, with five current first team players set to leave in this window.
