New Barca Signing Tests Positive
Posted: 23 August 2020

European giants FC Barcelona have confirmed that new signing Miralem Pjanic has tested positive to the CoronaVirus.

The 30-year-old was signed from another European powerhouse in Juventus this summer for a fee in excess of 60 million euros, and will now self-isolate for the next 15 days, with the club issuing a statement;

“Miralem Pjanic tested positive for PCR on Saturday, August 22 after suffering some discomfort. The player is in good health and is isolated at home.

“For this reason, the player will not travel to Barcelona until 15 days later to join Barca,” concluded the statement.

The Bosnian International is one of the few new significant signings that are expected at Nou Camp for the upcoming season to work with newly-appointed manager, Ronald Koeman.
