BREAKING: Barca Conclude Managerial Candidates
Posted: 16 August 2020
European giants FC Barcelona have concluded a three-man list to possibly take over from the underfire manager Quique Setien. The 61-year-old Setien oversaw Barca’s heaviest defeat in Europe when they went down 8-2 against Bayern Munich over the weekend.
The Blaugrana will sack Satien within the next 72 hours, with Netherlands manager Ronald Koeman, Mauricio Pochettino and Xavi Hernandez Creus all potential managers to take over the reigns.
We have been reliably informed that Koeman is the front-runner for the role, with Pochettino his closest competitor at Camp Nou.
Barca would, however, need to pay a hefty compensation fee to the Dutch Football Association as he still has more than two years remaining on his current deal.
The club’s hierarchy will hold high-profile talks tomorrow morning, on the agenda being the sacking of Setien, secondly an incoming manager and thirdly discussions of new arrivals.
