Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi’s future looks to be in the balance ahead of tonight’s massive clash against Bayern Munich in the European Champions League.

Messi, who has a year left on his current Barca deal, has publicly expressed disgust in how affairs have been handled at boardroom level this campaign. The Argentine was particularly at loggerheads with Technical Advisor Eric Abidal earlier in the season for failing to bring in capable signings to the Nou Camp.

The mercurial 33-year-old has only gone an entire season once without lifting a major trophy and this will be his second, and that will surely push him closer to an exit.

The situation cannot get any dire;trophy less, contract running out in less than a year, and this is a massive night for Messi and his pals in Portugal tonight if they harbour any hopes of hanging on to the star.
