Ajax, Nego Dare To Dream?

Ajax, Nego Dare To Dream?

Ajax Cape Town edged ever so closer to the promised land of the ABSA Premiership after a hard-fought 1-0 win against Richards Bay at the Rand Stadium yesterday.

The Urban Warriors scored a late winner, courtesy of the divisions top goal-scorer Abednego ‘DJ Hot Chocolate’ Mosiatlhaga. The win takes Ajax to an unprecedented nine points clear ahead of their nearest chasers and challengers Moroka Swallows.

The Urban Warriors have been absolutely brilliant this season; winning 16 out of 25, drawing 3 and losing six, scoring goals and keeping the door shut at the back.

However, the shining light has been North West born midfielder-cum-striker, Mosiatlhaga, who has scored 16 goals this season and also creating opportunities for his mates in this campaign.

This has been a team effort in all honesty; with Thendo Mukumela as tough as teak at the back, Grant Mangerman the conductor in the middle of the park, and up top, with Thabo Mosadi dazzling defenders on the wings, while ‘DJ Hot Chocolate’ puts the ball at the back of the net almost at will.

The Calvin Marlin-led side are dreaming of a return to the most prolific, financially-capable, the milk and honey league in the African continent, the PSL.  They have put themselves in this enticing position, it is up to them to finish strong and confirm their status in the top league, among top players and among top clubs for next season.
