Pitso: We’re Preparing For the Future
Posted: 6 August 2020

Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane has confirmed that he is preparing his team for the future. The tactician has signed a handful of youngsters for next season, including playmakers Haashim Domingo, Lesedi Kapinga, Jody February, and the promotion of reserve side midfielder Promise Mkhuma earlier in the year. The outspoken Pitso explained the signing of young players, saying;

“Yes Karabo, we are currently preparing the team for the future because of the age of the most important players in the team; the Kekana’s, the Nascimento’s, the Onyango’s, the Vila’s, the Langerman’s, so we have a lot of guys over 30 huh.

“And when you’re over 30, you’re not getting any younger neh, there is nobody who is 30 and his speed is improving, nobody, you’re just declining. I mean even you, you can’t say you are as quick as you were when you were 19 when you are 32 akere, so that’s the challenge at Sundowns,” he concluded.

Jingles‘ also explained that he has suffered a lot of injuries due to the continuous changes of the PSL resuming, but hopes the return can help them get back into their stride.
