Phiri: The Mood Is Great!
Posted: 5 July 2020
Baroka FC vice-captain Gerald Junior Phiri is confident his side will play good football as the mood in camp has been absolutely brilliant. The Limpopo-based side returned to the training grounds a couple of weeks ago like all ABSA Premiership sides after meeting the COVID-19 rules and regulations, with Phiri saying;
“The mood is pretty good…uhm, I think everybody is happy to be back, considering that we were all at home and a bit scared and worried. So now things are looking better, everyone is happy to be back at training.
“In terms of fitness, it has been tough for us because it has been four months without playing or training and that is a lot for a pro footballer,” said Phiri.
The Dylan Kerr managed side will open their restart campaign on Saturday against Bloemfontein Celtics at the Orlando Stadium, with kickoff penciled in for an afternoon kickoff, 14H00pm, and will be aired on the pay-television bouquet and the national broadcasting corporation.
