SuperSpor United Assistant Coach Thabo September has spoken to The Beautiful Game in regards to the difference between the current team and the previous one that won the league title three times in a row. September, who was also the skipper at the club, said;

“The team before [that won the league between 2007 – 2010] had a strong mentality than the current one, so we just need to work on the mentality of the players now.

“However, the current team has more quality than the team that won three leagues in succession; they’ve got a lot of talent, their ability is extremely high. All it takes is a couple of training sessions, the right mentality to win the league because talent alone cannot make you win the league, ” he concluded.

September will be hoping to help current head coach Kaitano Tembo to instill that winning mentality as his lieutenant at the club. United are currently placed third on the log standings with forty points.
