Manchester City manager Josep Pep Guardiola has backed Bayern München midfielder Thiago Alcantara to shine in the English Premier League.

Thiago has reportedly agreed personal terms with Liverpool, with Guardiola backing him to play in the Premier League, saying;

“No doubt about this (Thiago’s ability to play in England).  A player who plays in Barcelona and Bayern Munich can play in the Premier League. Yeah, of course he can play. He’s an exceptional player. But I don’t know what he’s going to do,” he concluded.

The Spanish International has informed the Bavarian giants of his willingness to join a Premier League club, and at 29, it will be his last opportunity to play in the most-watched league in world football.
