Barker Reveals Stellies Target!

Western Cape side Stellenbosch FC head coach Steve Barker has revealed to The Beautiful Game their target for their first season in the top-flight. Stellies were promoted to the top league in the 2018/2019 season after practically running away with the league without much completion. Barker has been charged with steering the team in the league and has told us what their target is, saying;

“As a club and a team, we set our target to 33 points and to get there as quickly as possible, and then depending on how many games are left, we can reassess and reset our target but I think that remains our priority.

“Hopefully we can get to the 33-point mark sooner and perhaps try to challenge for a Top 8 position but currently the focus is still on the target that we set at the beginning of the season”, concluded Barker.

Stellies are only six points adrift of their target, and with six more games to play, it is more than a possibility and they can reach and surpass the target they’ve set out for the club.
