Posted: 23 May 2020
English Premier League giants Chelsea have confirmed that one of their star players is having second thoughts on returning to football during the world pandemic the Corona Virus. French international, N’golo Kante has told his manager Frank Lampard that he is not entirely comfortable in returning to football during these difficult times.
Kante lost his brother before the start of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, before collapsing at Cobham, Chelsea’s training facilities a couple of seasons ago. The Beautiful Game understands that the club’s hierarchy does understand his fears and are willing to support his decision.
The diminutive midfielder was although seen at the club’s training grounds on Tuesday and Thursday to undergo medical tests but never trained with the squad. The English League’s Board of Directors are currently looking to return to football by the 13th or 19th of June, with not less than six players testing positive thus far.
