Mulenga: We Have To Fight

Mulenga: We Have To Fight

DSTV Premiership side Amazulu FC will play their first-ever home CAF Champions League group stage match against Horoya AC at the majestic Moses Mabhida Stadium later tonight.

Usuthu came unstuck last weekend when they were defeated 1-0 against group favorites Raja Casablanca in Morocco. Amazulu’s striker, Augustine Mulenga explains how difficult it is when playing away from home, saying;

“I think when you are playing away from home, you won’t have much chances, so when you get one or two, you have to use them because away games are always difficult.

“You know in away games, referees won’t be on your side but when you have a chance, you just have to use them. We have to be disciplined in how we mark and not to make a lot mistakes.

When asked about their encounter at home later tonight, he added;

“Today we had our first training session and everyone is looking forward to Friday’s (today’s) game and everyone knows that home games are important and I’m sure everyone is going to put in a fight so that we can collect maximum points because we are at home,” concluded Mulenga.

Benni McCarthy will be desperate for three points in Durban as home games are non-negotiable when looking to advance to the knockout stages of Africa’s premium club competition.
