PSL Giants Set For Business Before Deadline Day
Posted: 25 January 2022
The South African transfer market has been somewhat quiet during the month of January with a handful of clubs confirming new arrivals.
Reigning DSTV Premiership Champions Mamelodi Sundowns FC have made a single marquee signing in the form of former Cape Town City FC playmaker Surprise Ralani, while Orlando Pirates Football Club and neighbours Kaizer Chiefs FC have yet to bring in new faces.
However, we understand The Brazilians will allow some of their players to leave the capital club in this window, with George Maluleke and Promise Mkhuma possible outgoings.
The Sea Robbers have been linked with a couple of faces but the club are also yet to sign any footballer, while bitter rivals Chiefs have been heavily linked with both Teboho Mokoena and mercurial playmaker Sipho Mbule.
Matsatsantsa have invited forgotten man Aubrey Ngoma for a trial and has since impressed Head Coach Kaitano Tembo, nonetheless the winger is yet to be offered a contract.
Sources close to The Beautiful Game across the country has reliably informed us that with just over five days left of the market, it is expected to be a frenzy at the PSL’s headquarters in Parktown, Johannesburg, where football club’s will rush to register their new players.
