Sundowns Star Wins Player of the Month

Reigning DSTV Premiership Champions Mamelodi Sundowns FC continue to make headlines on and off the pitch with their midfielder Andile Jali walking away with the Player of the Month gong for December.

Jali was not the only winner from The Brazilians, with his Co-Head Coach Manqoba Mnqithi also lifting the Coach of the Month accolade for the same month.

‘Gattuso’, as Jali is affectionately known in football circles, reacts to his award, saying;

“Yeah man, I’d like to say thank you. Thank you very much to my teammates first because it doesn’t belong to me only, it shows that the entire team is doing something. It says ‘Player of the Month’ for December, but this shows the entire team did well in December.

“Our games were very difficult and they were back-to-back games, it wasn’t easy at all but we were able to get what we needed from the games we played, although not everything we needed but we did well,” concluded the Bafana Bafana international.

The former Orlando Pirates Football Club’s midfielder has once again showed his class this campaign and has been touted as one of the nominees for Player and Player’s Player of the Season at the end of the campaign with his solid performances.
