Galaxy Bag Maiden Victory, Coach Reacts
Posted: 3 November 2021
Mpumalanga-based side TS Galaxy FC bagged their first three points of the season yesterday afternoon after beating Baroka FC 2-1 at home.
The Rockets, who came into the encounter with no victory thus far in this campaign, were under immense pressure to get maximum points against a Baroka side who are struggling themselves.
Saed Ramovic, appointed three weeks ago, was delighted with the three points, saying;
“We started the game very well, so we had a lot of speed, a lot of ball possession, a lot of ball passing, a lot of creativity, and good transition. We had a lot of chances also but we didn’t score but Baroka had only one chance and they scored.
“But, this also shows the quality in our team because we were able to come back. We had a difficult week of course, but we trained well. I’m happy for the team, the club and of course for our great supporters, and it was great how they supported us.
“We need to improve, we still make some mistakes but we need to try and minimise our mistakes or try to stop them. We just need to keep going and show that we are mentally strong to show that we are such a good team and with such great quality,” he concluded.
Galaxy are now 15th on the DStv Premiership log standings, and they face SuperSport United on Friday in the capital, with kick-off pencilled in for 17:H30 at the Lucas Masterpiece Moripe Stadium.
