‘Let Mshishi Dance Man’
Posted: 13 October 2021
Reigning DSTV Premiership Champions Mamelodi Sundowns FC continued their fine form into the 2021/2022 season after making lightweight of their opponents in recent weeks.
The Brazilians scored three unanswered goals against The Dube Birds in their last encounter, with Themba Mshishi Zwane once again showing his class.
The Beautiful Game exclusively spoke to Co-Head Coach Rhulani Mokwena of Mshishi’s performance this season, and he said to us;
“I think…look, what Temba Zwane gives to this team Karabo is what we want in regards to movements in and around the box. Themba has become a lot more safer on the ball, which is good, his intensity when we have lost position has improved dramatically.
“And you see a lot of goals we’ve scored this season and Mshishi is involved in the high-press, in the counter-press and helps the team to regain the ball and these are the signs he has been consistently showing.
“He has showed a lot more intention, a lot more safety on the ball, more creativity on the ball and when Mshishi plays like that, the team tends to orientate a lot of it’s attacking schemes through Mshishi and then you see a Mshishi who plays with a smile on his face and that’s what we try to encourage him to do, to enjoy the game and do the best he can for the team,” he concluded.
The 32-year-old Zwane has been in peak form for The Brazilians over the last five seasons and continues to be a honest and sincere footballer for his club.
