Pitso: It’s A Big Stage Neh!

Reigning ABSA Premiership Champions Mamelodi Sundowns recently promoted one of their prized assets Promise Mkhuma to the first team after a momentous and special season he had in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge. The first team coach, Pitso Mosimane, who has a track record of promoting youngsters at the right time, spoke about the promotion of the precocious talent, saying;

“He has to do it, there’s no other way, he has to do it and if he struggles we need to help him. You must remember he is moving from the MDC to Mamelodi Sundowns, the Champions League winners, the multiple PSL winners akere, so it’s a big stage neh”.

When asked about the special talents of the 19-year-old, he said;
“I don’t know if there is anybody who can hit free kicks in the senior team like he does. So if he plays well, we know out of three free kicks, we have one goal neh, so that’s the positive out of it (Promises’ promotion to the senior team), concluded Pitso.

The youngster will be hoping to show his strengths in the first team as soon as football resumes post the COVID-19. Promise came through the development sides of the Brazilians and currently captains the MDC team.
