Maduka’s Plan On Keeping Celtics Humble

Maduka’s Plan On Keeping Celtics Humble

Free State-based side Bloemfontein Celtics have been one of the few team’s quick out of the blocks since the PSL’s Project Restart; winning two games in all competitions and drawing one since the restart. Siwelele have booked themselves a high-profile date with Mamelodi Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup final and have won four points out of a possible six.

Their form might have brought a couple arrogance to some of their players; however, head coach John Maduka says he has a plan for keeping his lads grounded, saying;

“(Laughs) Ja that is a very good observation my man, I was speaking to someone now that we have to take each and every game as it comes and we said ‘If you lose to Chiefs, Pirates, Sundowns, and win the rest, you win the league’, you see.

“So, it’s always tricky now going again against Amazulu, our job now is to try and motivate them, it doesn’t matter who we playing against, you know, the three points are the same and we wanna try to win. It is very important for us to go to the Amazulu game and make sure we take it seriously, play the same way we played against Kaizer Chiefs, so its always tricky…its always tricky,” concluded Maduka.

Siwele Sa Masele are currently positioned 11th on the PSL table, and a very against Amazulu will take them to 7th, consolidating their place in the much-coveted top eight position for next season.
