Ncikazi: I Feel For The Supporters
Posted: 14 March 2022
Soweto giants Orlando Pirates Football Club returned to winning ways with a resounding 3-0 victory over a sorry Royal Leopards from Swaziland in the CAF Confederations Cup yesterday evening.
The Beautiful Game asked Head Coach Mandla Ncikazi how the last couple of weeks have been for him and the club’s fans after their Derby defeat and being knocked out of the Nedbank Cup
“I am feeling bad for the supporters, they deserve better. I am not happy for our management – they deserve better.
When we asked him about the fans asking for his sacking, he said;
“Personally as a coach, the day you get hired, you must be ready to be fired. I don’t think there is any coach, in any league who is not feeling under pressure, and I am in the same pool, so the pressure – I understand.
“I understand the frustration of the Pirates supporters, they want their team to be in a better position. I wish I could change it (frustrations of the supporters), so that it could be better, I think we are one of the teams that play well and it’s not about me, it’s about the team and getting what they deserve,” concluded Ncikazi
The Sea Robbers next face SuperSport United in the league on Wednesday before jetting out to Algeria to play their penultimate game in the group stages of the secondary continental competition.
