Tshwane and African giants Mamelodi Sundowns FC have dominated the playing fields in South African football over the last seven years and have extended their dominance off the pitch as well.

The Brazilians recently announced a record-breaking deal with Herbalife, and before that, with global mega company, RocNation. Tiyani ‘Shuga’ Mabunda, the club’s former multiple trophy winner and current ambassador, appreciates the work of RocNation, saying;

“I think we need to give credit to our partner RocNation who were the one’s who facilitated the deal with Herbalife. And then having them on board (RocNation), there is a change in the game and the way we see it.

“They have shown us that we are bigger than what people may perceive, and it really gives us a sense of appreciation that the efforts we put in, the work that the players are doing, we can see also in the performance in the team, as well as the ladies team also.

“Everybody at the club is putting in the work, and it is being recognised globally, which is what we’re trying to achieve, a brand that is recognised everywhere in the world,” concluded Mabunda.

Sundowns are on course of defending the DSTV Premiership title and have made a couple of new signings with an intention of wrestling the CAF Champions League from hot-shot favourites Al Ahly SC.
