‘We’re NOT Humble’
Posted: 11 January 2022
Newly-promoted DSTV Premiership side Sekhukhune United have had an indifferent five (5) months in the top-flight.
Macdonald Makhubedu’s side started like a house on fire in the opening nine matches but lost the plot in the next seven games of this campaign; losing or drawing football matches they could’ve won.
The Beautiful Game exclusively chats to the club’s Head Coach, Macdonald Makhubedu, who pin-points their topsy turvey start, saying;
“I think some of our boys are not used to being on top, even the consistency in our games; we win three games and we come and lose the fourth one, win two and come and lose the third one.
“I think we are not humble enough, we don’t work that hard like before, I’m not saying maybe we thought ‘we have arrived’, but it’s not acceptable.
“If you see most of the players walking around the pitch without the ball and you know, we are a team that is very very disciplined without the ball but we are starting to win games without getting inside the field,” he concluded.
Babina Noko will be hoping for a much better resumption of the league after the long recess as their currently sitting eight (8th) with twenty five (25) points.
