Swallows Star Kicks Ball In 11 Months!
Posted: 6 January 2022
DSTV Premiership side Moroka Swallows FC will breath a sigh of relief after one of their key players returned to the training grounds for the first time in almost a year out.
Tlakusane Bafana Mthethwa, a key cog in The Dube Birds’ nest, smelled a freshly cut green grass yesterday for the first time in eleven (11) months after recovering from an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury earlier this year in an encounter against Chippa United in Eastern Cape.
Mthethwa, a proper grinder and a workhorse in the centre of midfield, will be like a new signing for Head Coach Dylan Kerr, who has since replaced Brendon Truter at the end of November.
The 28-year-old defensive midfielder still has a long way to go in regards to matchday fitness, but with the mentality and self-belief he has, Mthethwa will surely be a welcome return to the turf for Swallows when the PSL resumes next month.
