Gunners To Cut Losses With Club Superstar?
Posted: 13 December 2021
English Premier League side Arsenal Football Club are seriously considering letting go of one of their mega superstars at the end of the season.
Club skipper, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang has never been the same ever since signing his new big-money contract with the club a couple of months ago.
The Gabonese international was left out of Arsenal’s 3-0 drubbing of Southampton this weekend at The Emirates due to a breach club rules.
We understand that Aubameyang arrived back late from an international trip and was therefore not considered for the Match-day squad.
A club insider has told The Beautiful Game this morning;
“It has really been a disappointing one from Aubameyang’s side. He is on high wages and seen as a leader with the experience he has accumulated.
“Some of the players in the squad do believe that he was never supposed to be given the arm band in the first place and this kind of behaviour can and will cause problems in the dressing room,” concluded our source.
Arsenal’s manager Mikel Arteta has declined to comment further on the situation but more punishment is expected from the club in the coming days.
