Mokwena: There Was Influence of Uncontrollables

Reigning DSTV Premiership Champions Mamelodi Sundowns FC were given a late scare from Royal AM FC as the traveling side scored two late goals to make it an uncomfortable end for the Brazilians.
Nonetheless, the capital club were able to hold on to a nervy 3-2 win over the Durban visitors.
Sundowns’ Co-Head Coach Rhulani Mokwena was least pleased with certain individuals and when The Beautiful Game asked him of what he meant by “the uncontrollables”, he said to us;
“There were a lot of uncontrollables Karabo, I don’t speak about referees, I will never speak about referees, I refuse to speak about referees but yeah. (It’s) very difficult to stomach the type of performance but okay.
“The least I say about the uncontrollables the better. We spoke about it at half time, we made it easier for them by turning over a lot of possession and then we gave the ball to the opposition and obviously then there is influence from the uncontrollables but okay.
“But we looked after the ball a little bit better in the second half, the structure changed a little bit so that we could be a little bit more comfortable on the pitch, that was a way of trying to have influence on the uncontrollables but of course, we knew we could not control it,” concluded Mokwena.
Sundowns are now eleven (11) points clear of their closest chasers and will be hoping to avenge their draw against cross-town rivals SuperSport United when they meet again in the derby on Saturday.
